What is a capybara?

Capybaras are rodents that belong to the family Caviaidae. Its habitat is limited to South America, and it prefers waterfronts. It is the largest rodent species in the world, reaching over 100 cm in length. It weighs 30-60 kg and has a thick coat. They have four toes on their forelimbs and three toes on their hind limbs, and they have webbed blades, so they can swim in the water. They tend to form herds of multiple individuals, and usually live in groups of 10-20. Since they are vulnerable to the cold, they huddle together to keep warm when the temperature drops. Food is plants and fruits. Life expectancy is 5-10 years.

What is Capybara Cafe?

The capybara cafe is a place where you can actually play with, touch, and even feed the capybaras, not just to appreciate them, unlike zoos. Capybaras are bred by store staff, and since they live in groups in the wild, they are often kept in pairs. When it’s time to feed, the capybara is fed with plants and other items.

important point

Visitors to the Capybara Cafe should be aware of the frequent occurrence of finger bites. Incidents often happen and sometimes children get hurt. In addition, capybaras may bite the hem of your pants and shoes, so it is recommended that you wear clothes that are easy to move in or that you don’t mind being bitten by.

Drink

Most capybara cafes serve coffee, juice, and even tea. You can drink at a relatively cheap price, and depending on the shop, it is often included in the entrance fee, so you can drink for free.

Inside the shop, there are capybara stuffed animals and accessories, as well as a cafe that sells food. Recommended for those who want to collect cute collections. The price is also cheap, so you can easily purchase it.
