Finnish endangered animal : Saimaa ringed seal

The Saimaa ringed seal is endemic to Finland. This seal can only be seen at Lake Saimaa in Finland. Lake Saimaa is the fourth largest lake in Europe and is very large. The Saimaa Ringed Seal is an endangered species due to its extremely low population. With an estimated population of only around 400 individuals, the risk of extinction is increasing.
