Endangered African species : Barbary lion
The Barbary lion is an endangered animal that lives in Morocco and Libya in Africa, and is also used as a photo image, stock photo, or image illustration. Although lions were declared extinct in the wild in 1922, they were actually still alive. There are currently about 30 animals bred in Morocco. Breeding takes place at the Rabat Zoo. The lion is called the ``king of beasts'' because of its majestic appearance, and the Barbary lion is the largest of all lions and has a blackish mane. It is also known as the "Atlas Lion".
