Endangered South American Animals: Red-footed Tortoise
Red-footed tortoises are tortoises that live in the rainforests of South America. The habitat of red-footed tortoises is mainly in South America such as Panama, Argentina and Paraguay. It was once known to have inhabited the Lesser Antilles, but it has become extinct. Red-footed tortoises are listed in Washington Convention II, but they are not in danger of becoming extinct right now. Some people keep it as a pet, and it is a very well-known turtle.
