Sri Lanka Endangered Species: Ceylon Elephant

Ceylon elephant is a subspecies of Asian elephant. Elephants that live only in Sri Lanka have a limited habitat. It is the largest of the Asian elephants and smaller than the African elephants. Ceylon elephants are characterized by a darker color than Sumatran elephants.
